May 2009

I started to have very little postings this month, because I was getting a PhD.

Have you guys seen this? I'm getting one today:

It's my favorite traction pad company and a president who has been pretty good so far (not perfect, but pretty good). Should I use it? Not sure about that...

More:

Found this on this guy's artsy website. I think I would like it if Oceanside was really safe (it's not bad), but this sticker is funny anyway.

His new hang out spot--in the shade.

I totally did not get this idea from someone else.

Family

We took this picture for Davis and Jaime (big fans of Burt)

Some photos:

Me and my sister wearing our sweet Vans slip-ons at the drive-in.

Me and Jake. An intimate moment.

I kept getting these Facebook messages from Donald Cresitello telling me to become a fan of Eastern Surf Magazine. I finally relented and began to peruse the newest issue and What Did I Find?

Oh! Donnie ("Crusty") has a big interview in the newest issue--check this sweet photo of him (click to go to article):

My ITunes just went from Mastodon's Crack the Skye to Michael Jackson Off the Wall.

That is an interesting transition.

SUNDAY May 16th 2009

Dudes, sorry about that delay, but there is this little thing called a PhD. that I am pursuing and it is merely a few weeks away.

It's getting hectic.

However, I did have an excellent day up in Ventura yesterday (today, back in the lab). We drove up for Scott and Alison's west coast wedding party (a.k.a. Christian and Coley's "sweatsuit party"). And there just so happened to be the Sacred Craft Expo (surfboard builders talking about surfboards). Fun Times! Got to hang out with real nice people like Michel Junod (see him in The Present) and I met a couple of other legendary shapers (I ain't going to name-drop anymore, but it wasn't hard to meet these guys because Scott was shooting nice portraits of them all).

I have lots of photos, but no time to upload, so let's see what I have in the vaults...

Well, the most important recent events (that I have photos of) are:

And then there's this Somali pirate homage to Say Anything:

That's really I have right now! Lame, but stay tuned because at the very least, I will be flying to somewhere far away with my beautiful wife and there will be fun photos from there. Also, something fun might happen, like another earthquake (which I didn't feel down here in SD).
