| My Friend Scott Soens. He lives in Crappy California (I do too, now), but he grew up in Avalon, NJ (so did I). We have shared many crazy experiences including being robbed and beaten by some thugs at the Hamilton Mall, watching Bob almost die jumping off a house into the bay, smelling each others farts many times (not on purpose, well maybe sometimes), and riding skateboards, surfboards, and snowboards. One time I found his car key in the sand in Florida. How I did that I don't know. He is one of the few people who got to meet Einar my freshman year roomate. He takes pictures of pretty famous surf people. | Doug Deegan. My life would probably be a lot different if he weren't around with his painting/torture company. I have hated him and loved him in the same day and he has supplied the majority of my income for the past 5 years. He is a really cool guy. | Jon Hendee. His name is also on the checks I receive at the end of the week and he sometimes resembles a rooster. He is a hick, but that's OK. Somehow, he made being a hick cool. He should start surfing again. | Chris White and Kevin Mack. This photo is awesome and I wish I could do it again, but the camera did it not I. It was a weird camera. Chris and Kevin are amongst the coolest people on the planet and I hope I will live near to where they live soon. But I might have to wait until I leave California, 'cause I don't think they are coming out. I've seen Chris naked way too many times. Why Chris? Why must you always be naked? Kevin is one of the funniest, most unique people in this solar system. For real. He should meet Paul Logan and be friends. | Me and John Digenni. Look how pissed off he is, that's his normal look or something... tough Italian guy from Sea Isle City, NJ. Huh, he's not tough. We were leaving Florida after each of us had graduated from our respective institutions of higher learning. Somewhere in South Carolina. Crazy feeling. The last time the Jetta left that state. I wish he would move to California with me and rent cars out to tourists in San Diego. | Me and some friends. Scott, Pubes, and I at B Pellini's birthday party a couple years ago. I don't know who took that. | Stubd and I in Waimea Bay. That was fun. He loans me the water housing for the first time... not knowing the sensitivity of the thing, I shoot off 3 frames before I realize to let go. Don't know how they keep film in the thing out in the water. | Brian Herron and I on the Ferry. We just barely made that ferry and I swear that Doug drove up as we were leaving the dock. Going to hatteras for a huge north swell, we had visions of our 1995 trip where we had humongous barrells at the lighthouse. It was pretty big, but the wind never went offshore and it was just nasty. On the way back, we were afraid to walk into a cornfield one night because it was scary. Really scary. He is my ultimate travel partner because each of us really enjoys the travel part of a surf trip and he poses really well for every photo you want to take... even if you don't think he knows you're taking it. | Me and My First Rhode Island Family. The Zheng's had an ad in the paper for a room for rent. I needed a place and I moved in. They were so cool. Me, Mei, Mama, and Xiao Dong. Papa took the picture. Xe Xe. |
